Richard West began his career as a traditional engineer, designing material handling equipment and then flight simulators. His designs lift 747 wing panels, place windows in high-rise buildings, and they probably helped the pilot on your last commuter flight learn to land in the fog. It was about ten years ago when he fell into the world of inventing and Idea Asylum was born.
At Idea Asylum, we take pride in being able to create simple solutions to complex problems. We have extensive experience in designing products for manufacture in the Orient as well as overseeing Asian manufacturers. We design electronics, machine parts, program computers and microcontrollers, and create prototypes - every aspect of creating a new product.
The creations shown on these web pages are just a sampling of Idea Asylum's inventions. We have new designs available for license. Idea Asylum also helps others design and prototype their products.
